Mirrors, Part Two

For as long as I can remember I have always been intrigued by the face and human figure which has led to my focus in portrait photography. Freshman year of college, I photographed a series, Mirrors, in which the subjects were holding mirrors in various ways to create somewhat of an optical illusion to the viewers. The organic form of the human and the ability to manipulate the subject into different poses and shapes has been a large focus in my work throughout the past years. In another one of my previous works, Photos of Me, By Me, I explored the idea of the human body and it's curves, lines, and shapes that could be revealed by moving my body in different ways. Mirrors, Part Two, uses both these previous series as inspiration and is dedicated to my growth as a photographer over the past three years.
